What's your favorite nation to play as, and why?

I like to play as Germany. They are the largest army in my collection. They have a wide range of tanks and artillery, and they have strong infantry: Panzergrenadiers, flammenwerfers, and the MG 42. Tigers and Panzer IVs are strong tanks. I like Germany because it has a good balance of strong vehicles and infantry.

I tend to go through cycles as far as which nations I play. For example, I will have some idea or plan for playing the Russians and play them for a while until I grow tired then I will switch. But if I had to choose one nation to play it would be the UK and commonwealth. I like the Firefly, Tally-Ho, SMG's and the AVRE. I just wished they had a sniper, artillery, Light AA and some elite troops.

Canadians reinforced by Commonwealth units to get extra SAs.

Then Germany, Soviet Union, European minors and then Japan and the USA.

Then AAAF and W@S

When my gaming partner & I get to play, he is the Germans or other Axis Forces. He pretty much is only fighting Eastern Front or Western Allies, he hasn't ventured into the other Axis Forces. "They Ain't Germans".......power trip thing ya know..........:-)

So I have taken to experimenting with assorted US/UK/USSR builds.......he comes up with some wild builds with available units. I have a pretty nice collection for a Latecomer to the game. We can have up to about Battalion size action. More than enough, size wise.......still a few things to add, certain Infantry, some vehicles too.......just a few particular ones for both unit types & I am happy with what I have collected since August 2010 to present.

Long Live The Minis!!!!

Edited for typo.

No favorite. I got lots of minis for the US, UK, Germany, SU, Japan, France and Italy.

I would like to get more of the NA set and beef up the UK and Italy armies.

If we ever do a round robin again, we might reverse the sending order ;)

I have a few spare UK units like
2x Vickers
3x SMLE (No cards)
17-pounder
Sten

NA is Available IIRC at 12-7 - unfortunately teh NA cases are "fixed" - you will either get the Italian rares or the British ones - not both with one case...
